Community Weaving Project: Dusk's Reverie
This baby wrap - Dusk's Reverie is one of a selelction woven as part of the Community Weaving Project. This was a warp designed by the tester & chat group on Facebook. Polls and discussions decided the path for the warp. This is a hand painted Cotton warp, dyed with previously measured chains. The colours were a multiple blend including blues, purples, greens and a little orange and yellow.
The Community Weaving Project: Dusk's Reverie was made at the very beginning of the warp; you will notice the hand painted colours are more vibrant than some of the other wraps. The weave pattern is the originally chosen crackle weave. The weft for this baby wrap is a grippy Cotton that comes from the Linton Tweed Mill. Feather & Hay uses the yarn ends as part of a reuse and recycle initiate. This does mean that the wrap will need a little more work to make it super soft but they are always worth it in the long run. The wrap improves with age and use <3
Dusk's Reverie is named for those moments when your senses are filled with a sky full of colours and thoughts of happy times. The whole warp was based on a fantasy based seascape so the names have an other-worldly theme.
