Cotton Candy Skies: Light Mohair Bandanna
Cotton Candy Skies was a commissioned warp. It features a hand dyed navy blue, pink and grey Supima Cotton. During of the design process the colour sketches soon brought thoughts of early morning and late evening skies, as a result the warp's name became 'Cotton Candy Skies'. The Supima Cotton will make a soft textile with whichever weft it is paired with.
The Cotton Candy Skies: Light Mohair Bandanna is soft and super light with the Mohair weft and gentle beat when weaving. The handle of the scarf is light and the weave loose. There are two colour options: a silvery ecru or a pale lilac of the weft. The bandanna scarves are light and airy whilst keeping you warm and looking beautiful. Fold into a triangle wrapped around the neck and pin with a broach or pin. The scarf can be draped and wrapped in multiple ways to show off different sides and colours.
This set of scarves were part of a trial set. The fibre content is new to Feather & Hay so I wanted to test how it behaved off the loom. They are completed products but are sold as 'one-offs'.
This warp is part of a SLOW living process. Feather & Hay aims to create textiles that respect and reflect nature. You can follow the journey of how this product was made through Facebook or Instagram. See how and where F&H makes the textiles you choose to buy. Read more about Feather & Hay HERE.
